On Christmas movies, they always seem to make gingerbread houses and they always look really cool and yummy. Well I have a confession... Until today I had never made a gingerbread house in my entire life! But all that changed when we spotted gingerbread house making kits in Morrison's and thought we'd give it a whirl...

First off, let me say that making the houses is soooo much harder than I thought! I had to have additional help in order to fix the walls together, and let's not even get started on the roof... How people make 3 tiered houses is beyond me! But eventually I managed to construct something that looked vaguely like a house and I set to decorating it. This was the fun part! I let my limited creative skills run wild and I ended up with something quite cute and Christmassy! I was proud of what I created and it was sooo much fun, I can see why people love making these things!
